In recent years, the exploration industry has undergone revolutionary changes. With respect to borehole geophysics, geoscientists now possess much higher awareness about the value of downhole seismic data. Geologists, while still interested in time-depth correlation, now understand that downhole seismic image data can provide important clues to their stratigraphic questions. Geophysicists, working with 3D seismic data, look to in-situ borehole geophysical data to calibrate their data volumes and corroborate their interpretation. The expectation for downhole seismic data in most instances is to provide added value to a resident data body and to reduce uncertainty.

At VSFusion, we understand client expectations and are focusing our efforts on extracting value-adding information from borehole seismic data, and solving specific problems. In VSFusion, the development component in R&D is given as much weight as the research component. Only by turning high-quality research into products, such as techniques for calibration of surface seismic AVO volumes, measuring travel time anisotropy, and high- resolution 3D VSP imaging, can we quickly and consistently answer your questions.

Our dedicated staff of research PhD geophysicists work with a team of software engineers to turn ideas into solutions.
