Instrumentation - Single, Dual and Slim Receivers
Baker Atlas DSS performs borehole seismic services in
environments ranging from slim-to-large-diameter
boreholes, vertical-to-horizontal wellbores and open or
cased wellbores. These standard tools are high-pressure
and high-temperature rated. In addition, DSS provides
Ultra-High-Pressure/Temperature tools for hostile
environments.
If the wellbore environment dictates, such as in
highangle wells, DSS can provide a number of different
3-C systems for operations in slim holes, where the
downhole receiver can be conveyed on drill pipe,
production tubing or coiled tubing. The systems can also
run in combination with a variety of openhole logging
services for rig time savings.
The basic systems operate in single- or dual-level
configurations on conventional wireline, can be operated
in conjunction with gamma tools, and have
high-temperature and high-pressure ratings. The addition
of a hydrophone module on slim tools facilitates
wavefield separation for the processing of data recorded
in horizontal holes.
The standard DSS tools are combinable with instruments
such as gyroscope, gamma ray, 4-C hydrophone, cement
evaluation logs and all other typical Baker Atlas
openhole logging instruments. This combinability can
minimize runs in the hole and reduce rig time.
