Baker Atlas DSS owns and operates a wide range of borehole seismic sources worldwide. From vibroseis to impulsive sources, with fully integrated energy source controllers, these choices allow the flexibility to match your surface seismic parameters on any survey.

Vibroseis – Compressional and Shear-wave Vibrators

Provide excellent reliability and repeatability with increased signal-to-noise ratio. The broad band sweep and controlled source input results in exact matching of surface seismic parameters.

Impulsive Sources – Explosives and Tuned Airgun Arrays

Provide a high-energy, broadband output. These sources are ideal for remote and marine operations. Tuned airgun arrays are repeatable and reliable.

The H-Rack is a tuned array consisting of four airguns in two clusters. This array can be outfitted from 400 to 900 cubic inches. It is extremely reliable and compact for easy transport and safe deployment.

The Deep Penetrating Focused Array – DPFATM array, is a patented design specifically for deepwater, deep-well and long-source offset surveys. It consists of six guns uniquely positioned for optimal results. With a total of 1,350 cubic-inch output in a framework purposely built for safe and easy deployment, the tuned array can be used in dual mode for even greater output. The single tuned DPFA has a:

  • Primary 20.1 barm

  • Peak-Peak 37.3 barm

  • PBR 28.2 barm

  • ~ 170Hz @ 6dB down

Buried Airgun Array – Baker Atlas DSS offers a proprietary buried airgun array. This array provides reduced energy absorption and higher penetration, and is an efficient solution for unconsolidated source environment, particularly for transition-zone and swamp. It is especially suited for high-resolution VSP surveys and is highly repeatable and suitable for time-lapse VSP surveys. This methodology can eliminate static correction changes for intermediate and final VSPs.
